Fluid milk hold-and-release records for AI workflow testing

A bottling line can create adjacent production runs that look identical in a summary report.

A bottling line can create adjacent production runs that look identical in a summary report. A decision-support model needs to recognize which product and time window an operator’s hold applies to. FDA’s Grade “A” Pasteurized Milk Ordinance documents dairy plant controls and records. Use it to understand the process context, and use only an approved simulation to evaluate document matching. Build a timeline that cannot be resolved by the last timestamp

Invent two fill runs and an operator review with a clearly bounded hold window. Put a later authorized decision on the second run without changing the first one. In one test, remove the explicit link between the timestamp and the line. Score whether the model cites the right batch, preserves the unresolved hold, and routes the case for human review. A fictional packet can use run IDs, event boundaries, and signed-off dispositions without containing processing parameters.

Keep formulas, supplier identities, regulator correspondence, employee signatures, and production quantities private. A qualified dairy reviewer should approve the fictional cases and verify that the task ends before any release decision.

Describe a quality-record evaluation

Original Fiund exercise

A later disposition for one fill run does not remove another run's bounded hold

Two invented fill runs use inert line aliases and administrative states. There is no real milk, process parameter, operator signature, regulator correspondence or release action.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
MLH1Run and holdRun R1 on mock line L1, interval W1. Original authorized hold H explicitly names R1/L1/W1. No R1 disposition supplied.
MLH2Other runR2 on L1 after W1. Separate authorized mock disposition D2 explicitly names R2 only and does not amend H.
MLH3Loose timestampLater note says 'review closed' at a similar time but lacks line, run and hold references. No approved association to R1.

Question for the model

Which run remains under the documented hold in this fixture, and can the latest note or R2 disposition close it?

Show the reference answer and checks

MLH1 leaves R1/L1/W1 under its exact hold with no matching disposition. MLH2 supplies a later R2-only decision and expressly leaves H unchanged. MLH3 lacks the identity needed to associate its closure language with R1. Preserve the hold's bounded scope and request an authorized R1 record rather than choose the newest timestamp or transfer another run's disposition. This simulation never releases actual product.

  • Treating the latest disposition as global across adjacent runs.
  • Joining a timestamp-only closure to a hold without line, run and interval evidence.

Fields to preserve

Run, line and hold interval
Defines scope.
Disposition and exact target
Supports the narrow event.
Unmatched note and reviewer escalation
Preserves the hold.

Test another case

Add a same-time R1 record for a different line. Require the line mismatch to remain open even with a familiar run alias.

Use an approved original simulation. Exclude real products, settings and staff records; qualified dairy staff retain all disposition decisions.

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
