Cosmetic preparation data for AI shade and declaration review
FDA publishes cosmetics-labeling guidance.
NAICS 325620 · Toilet Preparation Manufacturing
FDA publishes cosmetics-labeling guidance. A manufacturer can propose an original task that connects a shade variant, its formula reference and the declaration actually approved for that variant. FDA cosmetics-labeling guide
Design fictional shade cards, a product-variant register and two packaging proofs. Give two shades a shared brand name but separate formula references. Ask the assistant which declaration belongs to the recorded variant. Include an older proof with a visually similar shade swatch and an ingredient change proposed after the selected batch. The key should follow the effective variant record and preserve the unexecuted proposal.
Annotate shade identifier, formula revision, declaration scope, batch and proof version. Evaluation can change the packaging layout and naming convention. Score matching by appearance alone, using a later proposal and wrong-variant declaration independently. A sample image should not establish composition, allergy suitability or product performance without supporting evidence.
Use original artwork and invented declarations reviewed by a suitable specialist. Actual formulas, supplier documents, licensed designs and customer requirements need permission for their intended AI use. Describe the variant-review task and checked key in the proposal. Confirm buyer scope before preparing a commercial archive or collecting additional capture.

Shade number survived the variant change
Invented shade cards and neutral packaging proofs contain placeholder declaration keys only.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Variant register | Shade S4 under rev 1 points to declaration D1; rev 2 points to D2. |
| 2 | Packing order | Use S4 rev 2 on order 23. |
| 3 | Artwork proof | Front reads S4; back still carries placeholder D1. |
Question for the model
What issue remains despite the matching front shade?
Show the reference answer and checks
The back declaration reference is stale. Records 1 and 2 require D2 for S4 rev 2, while record 3 has D1. Matching the front shade does not reconcile the formula-version reference. Flag the proof and retain the version-specific evidence for review.
- Treating shade identity as formula identity
- Comparing only the front panel of the proof
Fields to preserve
- shade_id
- Matches the visible variant
- formula_revision
- Selects the appropriate declaration key
- panel_reference
- Records which part of the proof carries each field
Test another case
Change the front shade and leave the correct declaration; require independent front and back validation.
No real formulas, ingredient lists, regulatory clearance or skin safety claims.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
