Conference audio segment records for AI review
A recording may contain an invited speaker, audience questions and private off-mic conversation.
NAICS 512290 · Other Sound Recording Industries
A recording may contain an invited speaker, audience questions and private off-mic conversation. The same file can therefore contain segments with different permissions. Census includes meeting and conference recording services in this industry. A provider can demonstrate review with an original scripted session. Census Information industries · Library of Congress audio format context
Use authorized participants reading practice dialogue. Annotate the moderator, invited speaker and a simulated audience segment with role and time ranges. Add a segment marked outside scope. Ask whether the reviewer can trace the allowed excerpt without relying on speaker identification. Document transcript and audio rights separately.
Keep actual attendees, private presentations, client recordings, names and unpublished conversations out of the first example. Consent to event recording does not establish permission for a separate model use.

Original Fiund exercise
An allowed speaker segment does not clear the whole recording
An original scripted session is represented by dummy audio time ranges and role-based permission records. No real attendee, presentation or private conversation is included.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| CO1 | Practice session timeline | 00:00–00:20 moderator; 00:20–01:00 invited speaker; 01:00–01:15 simulated audience; 01:15–01:25 off-mic script. |
| CO2 | Fictional use register | Practice use U permits moderator and speaker audio plus transcripts only in their stated ranges. Audience review pending; off-mic range excluded. |
| CO3 | Proposed excerpt | 00:50–01:10 includes speaker and simulated audience. Transcript export retains the same timing. |
Question for the model
Which part of the proposed excerpt is within the supplied U permissions, and can a single speaker grant clear the audience or excluded range?
Show the reference answer and checks
CO1–CO3 support the 00:50–01:00 speaker portion under the stated audio-and-transcript practice permission. The 01:00–01:10 audience portion remains pending, so the proposed excerpt is not wholly supported by that register. The off-mic range is explicitly excluded. Preserve segment boundaries and separate audio/transcript scope instead of treating one grant or possession of the recording as permission for every voice and interval.
- Extending the invited speaker's permission to an audience segment.
- Clearing the whole excerpt because its start falls inside an allowed interval.
Fields to preserve
- Role and time range
- Defines which source segment is being assessed.
- Audio and transcript permission
- Keeps modality scope explicit.
- Pending and excluded states
- Distinguishes unresolved review from a documented exclusion.
Test another case
Move the excerpt end to 00:58, then ask separately about a transcript-only grant covering a different audience range. Require interval and modality checks each time.
Use scripted records or separately authorized adult performers. Exclude real attendees, client recordings, private presentations and unpublished conversations.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
