Coffee and tea manufacturing data for AI blend reconciliation
Coffee and tea producers can offer a record task around the difference between a blend plan and documented component use.
NAICS 311920 · Coffee and Tea Manufacturing
Coffee and tea producers can offer a record task around the difference between a blend plan and documented component use. USDA's commercial item descriptions provide a public product-specification context. The exercise can use invented ingredients and quantities throughout. USDA product specification library
Create a fictional roasted-coffee blend with a planned ratio, component weigh tickets and a packaging run. Use actual recorded additions that differ slightly from the plan. Ask the assistant to reproduce the supported blend composition and identify the discrepancy. In another case, supply a green-coffee receipt alongside a roasted-component ticket, making the processing stage explicit instead of assuming the masses are interchangeable.
Annotate source stage, weight basis, component lot and the calculation shown in the key. Hold out an unseen blend name and alter the number of components during evaluation. Score use of planned quantities as executed quantities separately from arithmetic mistakes. An unexplained difference should remain a review item when the records do not establish its cause.
Use self-authored tables before considering a commercial archive. Actual sourcing contracts, roast curves and customer blends can reveal protected business information. A licensing brief should describe the reconciliation decisions, independent review and available history. Buyer acceptance for that exact sample determines whether further data preparation is justified.

Original Fiund exercise
Actual component tickets can disagree with a blend plan without explaining why
An original fictional weight exercise uses abstract roasted component aliases and arbitrary mass units. No product, formulation, roast curve, sourcing term or preparation instruction appears.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| CBW1 | Blend plan | Mock blend B planned A=60 and C=40 practice mass units. Both are intended roasted-stage components. |
| CBW2 | Executed weights | Exact B tickets record roasted A=58 and roasted C=42 on one stated basis. Combined measured 100; no cause for variance documented. |
| CBW3 | Upstream receipt | Earlier green-stage A receipt 60 units, different stage, no approved relationship making its mass a substitute for executed roasted A. |
Question for the model
What composition is supported by executed weights, and can the green receipt reconcile the actual amounts back to plan?
Show the reference answer and checks
CBW2 supports 58% A and 42% C in the 100-unit fictional executed blend. Compared with CBW1, A is two units below plan and C two above while total matches. CBW3 belongs to an upstream green stage and cannot replace A's roasted addition measurement. Preserve the documented variance and unknown cause rather than force planned proportions or infer actual process loss or product quality from unrelated masses.
- Using planned weights as executed additions.
- Replacing a roasted-stage component weight with a green receipt or inventing a variance cause.
Fields to preserve
- Blend, component lot and material stage
- Defines contribution.
- Planned versus measured mass basis
- Supports arithmetic.
- Executed source and unresolved reason
- Preserves evidence limits.
Test another case
Add a third component with its own reviewed ticket in a new mock blend. Require recalculation over the new executed total instead of memorize a two-item percentage.
Use original synthetic tables. Exclude actual formulas, roast settings and customer information; buyer acceptance depends on the agreed task.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
