Biological product data for AI parent and aliquot records
FDA's laboratory-controls questions provide context for records used in pharmaceutical quality work.
NAICS 325414 · Biological Product (except Diagnostic) Manufacturing
FDA's laboratory-controls questions provide context for records used in pharmaceutical quality work. A biological-product manufacturer can define an original evidence task around parent material, sample identity and a documented split. FDA laboratory-controls questions
Create a fictional parent-lot ledger, aliquot register and report index. Split one parent reference into three child identifiers, with a sample taken from only one child. Ask the assistant to reconstruct the documented relationships and identify the scope of the sample result. Include an unexecuted split plan and a corrected child identifier. The key should follow execution and preserve the effective correction history.
Annotate parent, child, sample, split event, report scope and document version. Hold out an unfamiliar identifier format for evaluation. Score missing descendants, a test result extended beyond its stated scope and a proposed split treated as completed independently. The exercise should not provide biological production conditions or infer potency, safety or suitability from identity alone.
Use invented values and self-authored records with qualified review. Actual process information, licensed methods, customer material and laboratory documents need source-specific authority. Describe the lineage task and independent key to prospective buyers. Their accepted brief should determine what operating history or authorized new material would be relevant.

A report attached to the wrong aliquot
Plain mock cards stand in for fictional samples. The exercise models administrative lineage only.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Parent ledger | Parent P4 split into A4 and B4; separate mock record packets. |
| 2 | Aliquot register | A4 routed to packet Q11; B4 routed to Q12. |
| 3 | Report index | Report Q11 names A4; Q12 attachment also names A4. |
Question for the model
What should be escalated in the record review?
Show the reference answer and checks
Q12 should be flagged because record 2 assigns it to B4 while the attachment in record 3 names A4. Q11's identifier agrees with its allocation. The shared parent P4 in record 1 does not make the aliquots interchangeable or resolve the conflicting attachment.
- Resolving mismatches at parent-lot level
- Assuming the index is correct and overwriting an attachment silently
Fields to preserve
- aliquot_id
- Retains sample-level identity
- packet_assignment
- States intended document route
- attachment_identifier
- Preserves the conflicting observed field
Test another case
Give a documented aliquot relabel event with prior and new IDs; require the approved map before accepting an alias.
No biological procedures, real samples, patient data, acceptance criteria or release authority.
Discuss a contribution
Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
