Aerospace program data for AI document-baseline review

NASA publishes a general configuration-management process.

NAICS 336414 · Guided Missile and Space Vehicle Manufacturing

NASA publishes a general configuration-management process. For the Census industry covering guided missiles and space vehicles, a bounded original contribution can concern administrative document status with all technical content excluded. NASA configuration-process context

Prepare a fictional document register containing only neutral titles, revision identifiers and approval states. Give a baseline an explicit membership list. Ask which revision was released in that baseline. Include a newer draft outside the list and an approved revision assigned to another baseline. The key should follow membership rather than select the latest filename.

Annotate document identifier, revision, baseline, release event and approval state. Hold out a new register layout for evaluation. Score latest-version guessing, approved status treated as baseline membership and a missing release event inferred independently. A complete case should cite both the membership row and matching release record.

Use wholly invented administrative records. Do not include vehicle designs, capabilities, targeting, propulsion details, production instructions or other actual technical data. Real customer or government files, controlled information and licensed material require appropriate authority and specialist review before any proposed AI use. The commercial brief should identify a document-index task and independently checked key. Confirm buyer acceptance before preparing any archive. This exercise establishes no demand for restricted material and provides no weapons or vehicle-development guidance.

Original Fiund exercise

A draft revision is newer without being effective

The exercise uses neutral titles and fictional document identifiers, with no aerospace design or test content.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Baseline indexOffice note N7 revision A effective Monday.
2Revision registerN7 rev B submitted Tuesday; marked draft.
3QueryFind the effective N7 for Wednesday's packet.

Question for the model

Which revision belongs in the current packet?

Show the reference answer and checks

Rev A remains the effective baseline because record 1 establishes it and record 2 does not make B effective. Record 3 asks for the controlled packet rather than newest authored file. Keep B visible as draft history without substituting it for A.

  • Selecting the newest revision regardless of state
  • Omitting the draft status from a current-baseline view

Fields to preserve

Test another case

Add an approved B with future effective date and distinguish approved from effective on Wednesday.

Neutral administrative titles only; no design baselines, controlled technical data, program performance or release approvals.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
