Confectionery assortment contents and insert data for AI
An assortment can contain several items while the insert describes only a subset.
NAICS 445292 · Confectionery and Nut Retailers
An assortment can contain several items while the insert describes only a subset. FDA discusses food allergen labeling and consumer safety. A specialty retailer can stage an original packaging task that shows whether a model preserves item-level evidence. FDA food allergy resources
Fill a practice box with three inert wrapped props. Give two a matching insert entry and leave one generic wrapper unidentifiable. Ask the model to match the visible identifiers and flag the unknown item without inferring its ingredients. Use a separate contents list as the reviewer key.
Use original art, packaging and labels. Exclude real recipes, allergy records, customer orders and vendor content. Clear recording and performer rights.

Original Fiund exercise
A generic wrapper cannot inherit an assortment insert's ingredient evidence
Three inert wrapped props use original art and dummy item IDs. There is no food, recipe, customer, actual allergen information or consumption decision.
| Record | Source | What it records |
|---|---|---|
| CAI1 | Practice box insert | Original insert lists item codes A and B only with abstract description fields. It does not state that every wrapper in the box is listed. |
| CAI2 | Visible wrapper observations | Prop 1 readable code A; prop 2 readable code B. Reviewer confirms exact code matches. |
| CAI3 | Unknown wrapper | Prop 3 generic design, no readable ID. A separate reviewer inventory identifies it only as UNKNOWN, not an A/B duplicate or ingredient class. |
Question for the model
Which props can be matched to insert entries, and can the third wrapper be assigned an identity or ingredients from the assortment?
Show the reference answer and checks
CAI1 and CAI2 match props one and two to entries A and B. CAI3 leaves prop three unidentified; the presence of two matched entries does not make the insert exhaustive or establish the third item's identity. Report the unknown wrapper and request matching evidence rather than assign ingredients from packaging resemblance or treat the sample as a real food-safety or allergen assessment.
- Treating an insert as exhaustive when it covers only a subset of the box.
- Guessing an unknown wrapper's item or ingredient class from neighboring entries.
Fields to preserve
- Prop, wrapper code and visibility
- Supports direct reading.
- Insert entry and coverage scope
- Limits matches.
- Reviewer unknown state
- Preserves unsupported items.
Test another case
Add a readable C code on the third wrapper but no C insert entry. Require item identity to resolve without inventing its missing description.
Use inert props and original labels. Exclude actual ingredients and customer records; secure performer and recording rights.
