Compost manufacturing data for AI sample and report context

The U.S.

NAICS 325315 · Compost Manufacturing

The U.S. Composting Council describes product testing within its STA program. A compost producer can propose a dataset that keeps each reported property attached to the sample and method context that produced it. USCC STA product testing

Write fictional pile-history records, a sampling ticket and laboratory reports. Give two samples the same product name but different collection dates and locations. Ask the assistant which report concerns the selected output lot. Include separate properties labeled maturity and stability, plus a report missing its sample reference. The reviewer key should retain the distinct property labels and identify the unsupported association.

Annotate pile, sample location, collection date, property, method reference and report status. Hold out a new naming convention for evaluation. Score wrong-date matching, one property substituted for another and unsupported product claims independently. A complete case should contain enough evidence for the correct report to be selected.

Use self-authored records and invented results. Supplier feedstock information, customer requirements and outside laboratory reports need permission for the proposed AI use. A licensing proposal should define the sample-context task and qualified review, with no inference about suitability from a photograph alone. Confirm buyer requirements before preparing a larger archive.

A composite taken before the pile split

A fictional site tracks clean paper pile cards. Report stubs give sample identifiers only.

Fictional records supplied to the evaluator
RecordSourceWhat it records
1Pile historyPile P7 divided Tuesday into P7-A and P7-B.
2Sampling ticketComposite S8 collected Monday across P7.
3Report indexM8 describes S8; report timestamp Wednesday.

Question for the model

Can M8 be treated as a separate report for P7-A?

Show the reference answer and checks

No. Record 2 places collection on the undivided P7 before the event in record 1. Record 3 connects M8 to that composite, even though the report arrived later. A child-specific observation would require separately scoped sampling evidence; the report date does not establish it.

  • Treating report date as sample date
  • Copying a composite result to each later child

Fields to preserve

pile_state_at_collection
Fixes identity at sampling
sample_coverage
Describes the area represented
report_reference
Connects the report to its ticket

Test another case

Use separately logged pre-split portions with a recorded child map and require exact part lineage.

No real compost compositions, environmental conclusions, remediation or agronomic recommendations.

Discuss a contribution

Describe the sources you control, the task they could support and what has already been checked. Use the existing-data assessment for an archive or the collection brief for a new recording project. The contributor agreement defines Fiund’s licensing authority and compensation. A guide or fictional exercise does not establish an accepted collection or a sale.
